I started taking belly dancing lessons about a month ago.
I LOVE IT!
I have no idea what I am doing, but my hips, arms and legs are slowly catching on.
So here I am, feeling the impulse to write about dance again. This time, I will try to connect it with the energetic work I do in my healing practice.
Since my practice is working with the subtle energy field found in and around the body, this is where I perceive many of the benefits of dance. (more…)
A campaign title IDONTMIND was launched yesterday as a part of Mental Health Awareness Week. Their website reads “Our mission to defeat the stigma surrounding mental illness starts with a simple phrase: IDONTMIND.
By saying IDONTMIND, you can help break down the barrier of stigma and bring hope to those who are struggling and afraid to speak up. Together, we can generate positive messaging and find creative ways of reaching those who need encouragement.”
People often get the idea that they should figure out what they want in life, set their path and stick to the plan no matter what. If that is the course you took and are currently living a happy and fulfilled life, I’ll be completely honest, there is a part of me that is jealous. For myself and many others, the path we chose at an earlier age eventually started to not feel right.

My favorite thing about sitting on the beach is looking out to where the sea meets the sky. Both, are parts of our world filled with so much yet to be explored. My sight is filled with what has yet to be discovered.
Nature demonstrates embracing transformation and change.
I find it odd that we are expected to know what we want to do with our life at such a young age and then stick with it for a lifetime. Who we are at 18 is not who we are at 55 or 75. We are energetic beings which means are constantly changing and transforming as individuals. We are not static.
